Although it was a few days early, we celebrated my brother-in-law's birthday this weekend. (His birthday is really on Thursday). My sister asked me to make the cake and I was happy to do it. Plus it gave me a chance to practice my piping skills ;)
So, here it is. Chocolate cake with Reese's peanut butter chips and chocolate tub frosting (that's what my sister wanted haha). I thought it turned out pretty cute and our family and friends loved it!

Happy 4th of July!
Hey friends,
I know it's been a while since I've posted :/ I've been pretty busy enjoying the warm weather. Anyhow, I decided to make a new yellow cake recipe for the 4th of July. The decorations aren't too creative, but still thought they were cute :) and super DELICIOUS! Everyone kept telling me how great they were! So, thumbs up on that recipe ;)
Hope you had a great 4th of July!!!

Happy Birthday Megan
Today was my friend, Megan's birthday and what better way to celebrate than with some delicious cupcakes?!?! Plus, birthdays are always a good reason to try out a new recipe! So, here is is - chocolate peanut butter cupcakes. Each of them with a peanut buttery filling (baked right in) and a cream cheese peanut butter frosting. These were the richest cupcakes I've ever made. Definitely great with a glass of milk!
Thanks to Megan, each cupcake was topped with chocolate shavings (which made them look so professional). Megan bought the chocolate grader for my birthday :) and it's great. I thought they needed a little extra something on top so each of them adorned a chocolate M in honor of Megan :)
Everyone loved them and the birthday was a success! We even won 3rd place at trivia night! All around a great time!

That's what Aunts are for ;)
Hey friends,
My 2 year old nephew, Briar is celebrating his birthday at pre-school tomorrow and my sister asked if I could help her with his birthday snack. The only issue was that it had to be allergy friendly ;) So, I pulled together a couple recipes and altered a few. I made chocolate cupcakes with vanilla butter cream frosting. All of which is dairy-free, egg-free, nut-free. Sounds like they couldn't possibly be good, but they are actually fantastic :) And I don't think the crowd full of 2 and 3 year olds will notice any difference :) I made sure to put a big helping of frosting on each one because we all know that's their favorite part!
I asked Briar what color he'd like the frosting to be on his cupcakes and he requested orange.....his current favorite color. Last week his favorite color was blue so I made little blue B's on each one. Although the other kids probably won't care, I'm sure it'll make Briar feel pretty special :) which was my main objective :)

My first craft show!
And it was a success!!!
Team Detroit (my work) hosted their annual Spring Bazaar. I've always loved attending the show to visit all the booths, but this year I thought, "what better place to help get the word out about my cupcakes" :) So, I bought a spot, purchased a few decorations, and baked A LOT of cupcakes :). I featured a few of my favorite flavors: Lemon, Carrot, Banana, Banana Split, and Chocolate. I sold out of almost all my cupcakes and had a blast doing it!
Thank you to everyone who came out! And a HUGE thank you to Laura, Traci & Chris who helped me with my new brochures, logo, signs and set up! Very blessed to have such great people in my life!
Hope you enjoyed the sweets! Feel free to contact me with any orders or questions ;)

The Very Hungry Caterpillar
Such a cute children's book and an adorable birthday party theme! A friend of the family asked me to make cupcakes for her son's first birthday and of course I was honored that she asked me to help :) To go along with the theme, I made the Very Hungry Caterpillar out of cupcakes. Along with a smash cake for his head :) I thought they turned out adorable and it seemed like everyone at the party thought so too :) Not to mention, they got great reviews on the taste :) Always makes ya feel good ;)

Banana Split Birthday
Hey friends,
Sorry I haven't posted in a while, things have been a little crazy ;)
A couple weeks ago I tried a new recipe for a friend's birthday. Banana split cupcakes! Banana cake, fresh strawberry and pineapple filling, butter cream frosting, chocolate topping, sprinkles and a cherry on top. OH YUM!!! (I really need to make these again soon!!!) They are probably my favorite cupcakes thus far! And I really mean it. They taste amazing and they look even cuter. I was even told that they looked like cupcakes that would be shot for a magazine ;) And one friend said they reminded her of a cartoon cupcake. They were THAT cute ;) And the Happy Birthday flags and banner put the cuteness over the top! - Thanks again to Traci Andrejko for making them. I asked for her help since I was swamped at work, and she delivered far beyond what I had imagined! I loved them!!!
Enjoy! And remember to spread the word :) I welcome all cupcake orders ;)
